Non-Engineers shouldn't teach in engineering insti - They haven't been through it and cannot understand how much more complicated applying a small idea is than knowing the theory to the depths.

I have a strong belief that non-engineers shouldn't be allowed to teach in engineering colleges because they have no idea about how an engineer's mind should work. They haven't been through it and cannot understand how much more complicated applying a small idea is than knowing the theory to the depths. Working with the theory is the job of the scientists and applying it to the real word with the minimum possible resources in the minimum time is the engineers' job.
