Why not non bio cargivers day. There should be a day set a side to celebrate those who are raising children to whom they never gave birth too. What do you think. no one or two word answers please.

I don't think mothers day and fatherday excludes non biological parents. After all you want these children to accept you as parents and to ask for a seperate holiday may take away from that. I don't know if you're speaking of adopted foster children, or step children or a relatives child you have custody over. But I still think it would be more special to you if this child came up to you on Mothers of fathers day and wished you a happy either instead of them coming up to you on say "Second Parents day" and wishing you that. Do you know what I mean or am I rambleing.

A lot of them refuse the title of father for their own reasons. They prefer them to still refer the the bio dads as dad etc. I still thing we should remember them on a special day too. Thanks for the response

I totally agree with you. My stepfather had no part in birthing me obviously, but it's him who still gets the card on Father's Day not my DNA contributor who technically should. But I haven't spoken to him since I was 19 and have no plans to. I think that people just use the date of Mother's Day or Father's Day to honor whoever occupies those roles in their lives. At least I do.
