mylot contradicts itself today....

Well no doubt you've all read the lastest message of do's and dont's from mylot. I'd just like to query the first on the list:- 1. Do not start discussions promoting your own referral links. If answering a question where a link is appropriate, referral URLs are acceptable. It is not acceptable to add a link with a referral to the end of any post. Well it was only two days ago that I read a response from mylot to a discussion from "Oldbuudy", heres a copy of their response... myLot (42) 2 months ago Thanks for bringing this up, oldbuddy. "In general, referral links are allowed as long as they're on-topic. Posting a referral link at the bottom of every post is off-topic and therefore strictly prohibited" Seems tome like a contradiction to me, I'll probably get bounced for copying part of someone elses response, but really what can I say.

I think what they mean is that you can't add the link to every single response you post, but if you're responding to a certain discussion and the link is on-topic, it's ok. Know what I mean?

Well thats what I was hoping and given I havn't copped any flack from them with regards to the post you must be right, I just don't like gray areas. Tikiteboo
