If you looked carefully, you’d know that it was a carefully nurtured garden once upon a time. You can see the leftover of neatly tended beds, and the yellow profusion that was once limited to the borders had taken over the entire clearing so completely, that it was difficult to step anywhere without trodding on a flower. Three steps at the right end of the clearing led down into another, smaller dell - also carpeted in grass, but devoid of flowers expect a red blossom next to a thinking stone in the centre. This dell was at the very end of the hill, overlooking valley on three sides.
