How many of you groom your partner?

I'm not talking about you brush the lint off their clothes, or pat their hair into place. I'm talking about how many of you consciously (or otherwise) pick at their sores, peel off dead skin (from a sun burn), clip their toe nails, remove navel lint, tweeze long ear hairs, etc..? My best friend and I were talking about some of the things we do for our husbands that we would have never dreamed of doing to another person when we were younger. But perhaps as we've gotten older (and had kids of our own), we've become more of the "grooming" type. Imagine the monkeys I guess.. except not as hairy. LOL!

Yes!!! I loooooove doing those things for my husband...though he feels uncomfortable, lol. He's never had anything done for him like this and so he still doesn't quite know how to respond...which I think is really cute!!!! My husband is a good man and he deserves to be pampered. GREAT POST silviekitty!!!!!!!!!

after a while, he will probably come to really love it. it's wierd for guys i think, but it shows we care about them. just like they do stuff for us that shows they care (even if they don't always say the words).

Well we do that for us too.. I make sure my husband if well groomed because it shows what kind of wife I am to him... If he is well groomed it reflex on me, I do take care of him and some of his friends envy him of having a wife like us. Im sure you husbands friends thinks the same... not all guys are well groomed on their own, you have to give them a boost...

I know what you mean...I just HATE feet, don't know why, just hate them. But yet, I allow my husband to put his feet on my legs while we're watching tv, and i sometimes remove his socks and caress his feet. I never in a million years thought i'd do this...i mean, it's feet!! I want to trim his long ear hairs, but he won't let me, he wants to do it himself. When we go to bed, he always asks me to scratch his back, which, of course i do and he likes it when i rub my feet on his while he falls asleep (big baby).

I personally do not do that at all to my boyfriend...The closest I have come to that is pluck his eyebrow hair that he has in between his eyes, so that is the closests I have done....Not my type of thing sorry to say.

I tend to wash my husbands hair once a week and when mu hair isnt done , he washes mines. My husband has really good taste in clothes so sometimes I will have him pick out my clothes when we get to go out. I enjoy when we bond like that.

My husband and I haven't done that in ages- pick out each other's clothes. I should ask him to do that for me. He does pick out PJ's for me to wear sometimes, though. He'll give me his old sweats and one of his old shirts to wear. :)

My husband would have a fit if I did anything like that. He is very independant. Its ok if you like it, I guess. What I can't stand is people sitting in Church picking at eachothers ears, etc.!

You think that's bad, one day I was in a Chinese food place and some old guy was sitting at a table near us putting his feet on the table, clipping his toenails! Ew ew ew! Totally unappetizing.

I think it shows a confidence and closeness to your parter to be comfortable doing these things, course, balance is everything, you don't want to attack a spot of theirs in public, but I would hope my husband would tell me if I had a hair growing out of my nose or a blackhead I couldnt see, so I tell him if I notice them on him!

You're right- I think you have to be pretty comfortable around somebody to start picking at them like that. I mean, I sure as heck wouldn't trim just anybody's toe nails! LOL

Yes i will admit I always do those sorta things. I never imagined doing them kinda things to another person before I got with my current boyfriend. The thing I do the most is pop his pimples.

My best friend told me that she asks her husband to pop those she might get on her back now and then. He's totally grossed out by it and says no. She has no problem doing it for him, but he refuses to return the favor.

Sounds gross but i love squeezing my partners blackheads, although i am unsure if it is because i like doing it or because i love watching him squirm lol. I would NEVER clip his toe nails (eeeeewwwww!) or the whole naval lint removal, and unfortunately he wont let me tweeze his ear hairs, although i would love to cos they bother me immensly!

How funny! This is so true. I am constantly picking on my husband...sometimes he takes of running when he sees that "look on my face." He says I get this motherly look in the middle of a conversation, and he knows he is in trouble.

Eeew. I would never do anything like that for my DH. If he can't pick his own sores, clean his belly button lint, or anything of the like then he shouldn't be in a relationship...Honestly that is gross...

I don't need to do that with my wife since she's constantly grooming. She'll chase after me with a pair of tweezers if she sees a hair that's in a spot she doesn't like.

well come on now! do you think women want to be seen with hair scruffy men? LOL no offense. but sometimes you really don't care for seeing long nose hairs peeking out of your partner's schnoz (sp?). or even a long stray coming out of their ear. what's that all about anyway?!

I would have to say .. "not me" .. the most that I've done for my husband, is give him a pedicure. He's the one that thought it was gross, but I enjoyed it - (thank God he has nice feet).

I definitely do! LOL! It took a while for my husband to get used to it, and same for me, I NEVER thought I would do these things. I pop pimples, scratch his back, and clip ear hair (although he still denies he's getting any....too much a sign of old age for him, LOL). What we will do for love.
