Career or Family?

After spending a fair amount of time in one company, I decided to switch jobs for further growth and progress. In my job hunt after severqal applications and number of rounds of interviews, I shortlisted 2 offers for myself(I had more than that number of offers in hand) - one was showing me an amazing growth graph and another one was a decent career graph but brought me closer to my family. And I have to make a choice - Career or Family? Have you come across any such situation in your life? What do you think would be an ideal choice?

I'm over it. I choose my family. Ihave to take care of them even if I had a very good and promising job. I cannot think straight at the office thinking who's taking care of my children. And I read a passage saying like this: In your deathbed, you would not count the hours you spent in your office but the time you spent with your family.

Thanks for your response mauier113. That certainly is an excellent quote. Do you know who it is from?

Thanks for your response teogerm. But can you elaborate why you chose family over career? Have you faced such a situation any time? Please share your experience if possible.
