i have red this once in a book that reciprocity ( a mutual exchange of coomercial or privelages) is one way fo connecting the rich and the poor...
in the philippines reciprocity (utang na loob) is regard as one of the unwritten law that should be observed and if one dont respect it, then it means he is shameless (walang hiya)..
but as what i observe in the present society, reciprocity seems to be spontaneous and endless.... like if you have barrowed money from reach people and even if you already paid all of it... theres is still these unwritten law of utang na loob (reciprocity)...
or even if you beg for some small favor and make up to return that favor ... still reciprocity is there..
so just how long will a person bear that utang na loob (reciprocity)?

there is this one movie which views this reciprocity or being grateful in a whole new way. instead of paying back someone for a good deed or favor done, the movie suggests of paying forward, meaning when someone does you a good deed or favor you pay him in a way by doing another a good deed or favor that that person needs and so the chain of good deeds continues. the title of that movie is Pay it Forward.

i actually have seen that movie...and i think that movie is differnet in the situation of my message.. its more about of obliging yourself to pay the person who did favor for you.
