Do you think Spongebob sets a bad example?

The only reason I let my 2 year old daughter watch it is because she is a huge fan. Lately, though, she has been copying some of the things she sees on the show. Like she kicks people, from the Band Geeks episode. Of course she gets in trouble for it, but my question is: Is Spongebob a bad example for kids?

I have the same problem. My children absolutely love spongebob but they pickup all the rude and crude behavior. Like the KArate chopping and spitting. It's terrible. Maye we should write to the producers and see if they would consider making an educational spongebob episode. Then I could just let my kids watch that one over and over. They'd be happy. :)

The earlier episodes really weren't all that bad. Lately though it looks like a less graphic version of Itchy and Scratchy.

I think Spongebob was never really meant for younger kids and I have to question why Nickelodeon puts it on in a lineup that is geared toward younger children.

Spongebob is rude and when our little ones watch him the become rude, this cartoon is not for litle ones but they love it. We need to reminnd them that its not nice to hit or kick.....
