Do english natives have an advantage over the rest of us here on myLot?

Yes i consider that th ones which use the english as their national current language have a slight advantage before us, because they just use their current language. But this is nothing after a period of time we will acommodate and we will use too fluently the english language. Good luck!

Yes, I think we probably do. I have heard that english is one of the hardest languages to learn because we have so many meanings for the same word, but as far as I can see sweetie you have a good handle on the language, so don't worry. You do a good job.

As far as being able to start discussions and comment on posts with speed and accuracy, I would have to say that yes, people whose native language is English do have somewhat of an advantage. It goes without saying that we don't have to deal with trying to translate meanings and figure out what words to use, etc. But all MyLot asks is that all users contribute quality comments to a discussion. Your spelling and grammar do not need to be perfect; you are not being graded on this! Try your best, and we can figure out what you are saying. I haven't seen anyone correcting spelling and grammar on here. Well considering that the rules for MyLot state English is the prefered language, those with profeciency in english would have an advantage. But still, there are some native english speakers who's communication skills are terrible and can't speak or write in coherent sentences. It's all in the practice...
