My neice who is almost 3 yrs old got a chocolate coin - the ones wrapped in silver and gold wrappings so that they look like coins. She put it in her piggy bank and the next day told her teacher how she saved it to buy something for her mom. The teacher said that was a dumb thing to do since it was fake. And said how could you not know it was chocolate isn't that obvious? Don't you think this teacher should be banned?

Banned no but maybe she needs to work on her people skills. She acts as if a child has the same understanding of things as an adlut or even older child. some one should talk to her.

The principal is one or if you have a teachers meeting you yourself can explain how this affected the child. Sometimes people say things and don't realize what they are saying and how they come across. The teacher may not even realize she is expecting the child to think like an adult. Bring it to her attention but do it kindly. If it continues then something more should be done because clearly she had no understanding of a childd thought process and should not work with kids.

Perhaps not banned but seriously reprimanded by the Principal. Unless of course this has happened more than once. Teachers are supposed to be supportive and help children develop. I hope that some one either wrote a letter to the principal or went in and told him/her what an outrage this was.
