only accept credit cards as payment? I would love to get some things like update computer trial software etc. but alas no credit card. Do you think these companies should get up with the times as there are other online secure payment processors out there?

I cannot say it really bothers me, but I have a bank card to use on sites like that.

PayPal is great, but the problem is that a lot of places online do not accept it. I don't know why this is- do you think that PayPal charges the merchants too much money for their services? It would be great if there was a universal online payment service similar to PayPal that would take secure payments from debit cards, checking accounts, or savings accounts for all Internet merchants. A lot of people do not have credit cards and do not even want them.
