Does anyone suffer from Anger and depression and meds only work on one?

I use to get very angry at the drop of a hat, and was depressed all of the time. My Dr. put me on Paxil and the anger was gone after a bit, but I stay depressed. I don't get out of the house much, just don't feel like doing anything. He says I don't need to change meds just get out more. lol..I wish it were that simple sometimes. I am trying to change Dr's, but insurance is a factor. Anyone take combinations?
