What do you think is more important for a country to become a superpower? * Economic clout? * Military clout? * Popularity among the world community? * Strategic alliances with other countries? * Large sway on United Nations policy making? * Other (please explain).

To be a Superpower, we need to strengthen our economic position first. Money is most important thing in this materialistic world. Every country is trying to be more strong financially, then why we should not. If we have money, we can purchase everything from the countries. Though scientifically and by technology we will also have to improve because there are limitations of the countries who sold military weapons, advance technology. This is possible only when we are economically strong. Popularity and strategic alliances among various developed countries is also important, but economy comes first....this is just my opinion.

All of the above are required for the title. Right now the US is the only real superpower in the world. Military Ability to project power around the world. In the modern world, this requires not only a strong land army, but also the air- and sealift capabilities to deploy and supply that military in furtherance of national interests, as well as public support for doing so. Cultural Strong cultural influence, soft power. Cultural influence implies a developed philosophy and ideology. Geographical Wide land or sea area under its control. Territory allows a country to mine minerals and grow food, increasing its self-sufficiency. It is an important factor in warfare, as it allows possibilities such as retreat, regrouping and reorganization, as well as placing distant radars and missile silos - even a richer country with smaller territory is more vulnerable in a military sense.

A world to become superpower it should have military clout as well as economic clout. as pre my openion every country is popular in the world. The politicians shouldnot be selfish and it leads to the superpower of a country in the world.

Everything will be set right if your country is economically strong, isn't it? so, i feel countries economy is the main thing here.U.S.A is economically strong and hence it is becoming little more easier for them to have strategic alliances with other countries ....don't you think so?
