I have done the overnight shift in stores and know it is difficult to stay awake at times.That is when I will have some coca-cola or other legal stimulant to keep me going thru the "dog hours".
I did have a job where,after 3 years of night shift in a group home,I found out it was ok to nap after the work was finished.I did not know that until one of the staff that worked on my night off over-slept and other staff came in.

I saw that you wrote that you were pregnant. That eliminates some of the answers that I wanted to write. In all hoensty, I would just take a break and go outside. For me, a breath of fresh air works wonder. I also don't know where you work, but I used to work in retail. It sounds silly, but when I was tired I would open up one of the coolers at work and stand in front of it for a few mintues. That also seemed to help me.

If you find that you are tired at work, you must tolerate it, use vacation time, and try to catch up on your sleep as soon as possible.

Hey even machines needs rest. You have to have time to sleep so that your body could recharge. strong coffee might help a bit or cola but definitely if you dont have any sleep as you have said, your body will tire out and automatically will require you to sleep. You need to plan your sked and have at least 6 hours of sleep everyday or else you'll end up in the hospital. Whats the use of earning money if all your earnings will just go to your hospitalization.

Get more sleep, take coffee in the morning, or change jobs for yours sounds boring to make you sleepy.

If you are very sleepy at work,you may drink some coffee which is the black one to perk you up and awake your senses and you may also do some stretching to circulate your blood.

drink a hot cup of coffee at the morning.
Otherwise take enough sleep at night and wake up early, do some things like yoga or exercise and you will not feel sleepy at the moment. If you will feel sleepy, then go out for a minute, take some deep breath of fresh air and rejoin your work.
