What do you think of shanti, the athlete who recently failed the gender test in the asian games and has been stripped off her silver medal that she had won. She had already been denied a job on similar grounds in Railways and the authorities knew about it before hand itself and even though they had sent her to the Asian Games and have made us ashamed of this situation and it is not that athlete to be blamed but it is the authorities in Indian Olympic association that should take the blame, i feel. What do you feel?

even i feel the same. the authority is to blame. it's very difficult for a person to understand and finally accept this kinda gender issues. it takes time and proper support from ppl around to accept the fact. it must have been very difficult for shanti aswell. but when olympic authority in india sends someone to international meets, it's their first and foremost priority to check on this. leave alone admitting, it's may be shanti didnot even know about the gender problem, if atall it is a truth. and if it is true, it's likely that she is in denial. i feel nothing wrong in it, we wud all pass thro' the same having been in the position.
but stripping her off the title and the subsequent humiliation is really sad.
shame on indian olympic association!!
