Why do people write scam emails?

Why do people write scam emails? I get more than 50 % scam emails.

This is a simple question . Because they want to spam you . so they write the scam E-mails . Such as admin@yahoo.com

you know that's a really good question.. I get a lot of them as well .. I have NO idea what people gain from it except driving me crazy .. :(
