Kasha Chili
Kasha Chili
1 good-sized onion
1 large green pepper
28oz. chunky tomato sauce
3 cups of water
2 cans of beans (whatever you like)
about 1 cup of chopped celery
a few handfuls of chopped kale (kale gets more bitter as it ages. So, you should grate, shred or chop it & freeze it in freezer bags...taking it out in chunks or handfuls as you need it.)
1 T chili powder
4 cloves of garlic
1/2 t. cumin
1 t. paprika
1/4 t. pepper
salt to taste
3/4 cup of kasha/buckwheat groats
Saute onion & pepper & then add to the pot with everything except the kasha. Bring to a boil. Add kasha. Simmer 15 minutes. YUM!

I love this soup and I'll like to share the recipe with you:
Ingredients: 1/2 a medium size chicken, remove skin and cut into pieces; 2 large potatoes, peeled and cut; 2 large carrots, cut; 1 small onion, halved, 1 tomato, 1 comb maize, cut. Fill a medium pot with water and add all ingredients. Bring to boil and switch to low fire. Simmer for 2 to 3 hours. You'll get a pot of delicious soup, chinese style, for 3 persons. Adding salt to taste is optional.

Spicy Beef Curry Stew in a Crockpot
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound beef stew meat
salt and pepper to taste
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger
1 fresh jalapeno peppers, diced
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes with juice
1 onion, sliced and quartered
1 cup beef broth
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, and brown the beef on all sides. Remove from skillet, reserving juices, and season with salt and pepper. Cook and stir the garlic, ginger, and jalapeno in the skillet for 2 minutes, until tender, and season with curry powder. Mix in the diced tomatoes and juice.
Place the onion in the bottom of a slow cooker, and layer with the browned beef. Scoop the skillet mixture into the slow cooker, and mix in the beef broth.
Cover, and cook 6 to 8 hours on Low

i love soup even if its hot season, one of my favorite is potato soup, all you have to do is boiled the potato until its ready to mash, then saute garlic and when its a bit transparent bring back the mash potatoes and add a little water, dried basil and salt to taste. when its boiling and add a spoon of margerine and half a cup of milk. bring to a boil for a few minutes then its ready to eat! uhmm im hungry.
