Do countries still exist as ameaningfull concept, considering the ease with which we can interact with people all over the world?

I think people still consider themselves as a particular nationality. e.g. i'm english and although i can go and live and work in france if i want to if someone was to call me french i would kill myself. But they are not the same as they used to be, especially in the EU because these 25 countries are basically just 1 large economy today.

On internet boundaries are obsolete, but in real world you need passport and visa so boundaries are not obsolete.
