Finally! My Own Website!

I have just registered a domain name and paid for a year's server hosting. All this done without even having a website created. Right now, I am in the midst of creating a website. I am torn between what would be a good theme for my web. My interest is online business, my life experiences, travelling.
I would appreciate as many advice from all of you. Thanks for your comments, in advance.

Cool! I always want to have my own website, but I'm lazy to design the interface. :p
Congratulations! You registered and paid for it, you are really serious about the site, right? Hope it'll run well.
Perhaps you can take a look at other website design, or blog design, you may get some ideas from there. There are website builders in the Internet too. My advice is, the website should be easy for the readers to read and navigate around in your website, so it'll attract them to come back and visit your site next time. To me, I like cool or cute design. ^_^

I have DSL and load time was really slow for me. I don't know if I just caught my computer at a bad time or what happened, but perhaps you ought to look at that, and I'll try again later when my computer isn't being contrary at all. Best of luck to you. It's coming along fine it seems.

I have taken your suggestions to heart. It is true that a good website is one that is pleasing and not an eyesore to visitors logging in.
Getting really excited to have my first site published by early 2007. I will then fine tune it as time goes by.

My draft mainpage is uploaded for review. It is not fully functional but at least I got somewhere.

Congrats to you creation. It's good to see you taking the initiative to dive in and get your feet wet. Having a real domain name and host is one of the first steps to getting people to take you seriously online. I have a free-based web site that has lots of hits, but there's no telling how many it would have if it was my own domain and hosting, but I haven't for whatever reason, spent the money to upgrade.
I'm working on some bum-marketing techniques and I'm going to see how that plays out over the next two months or so and then re-evaluate all the online business I'm conducting. Best wishes to you and the new website.

Thank yu streak for your encouragement. I really do hope that the website will enable me to earn money. However, most important is that I will want to my website to bring inspirations to life for all people alike. I emphasise more on values than just making momey.

Hi,
