Ways to make roads

I want to put some roads in my model. What is the best material to be used and that have a look of tarmac?
I triyed to print some tarmac textures on textured paper, but the result isn't good :/

Wet/dry Sandpaper, the very fine type. it has very fine texture feels quite smooth.
I think is is black in color
