I think Schumacher's decision to retire was premature. I still think he had a couple of years of competetive racing in him. I dunno the reasons for him to anounce his retirement so abruptly. He was winning a few races too although the consistency of last season was missing. But then in such a high profile sport as formula 1 racing being as sucessful as Schumacher requires some doing. I reckon it is quite fitting to say that Schumacher was one of the greatest and will be hard to emulate for anyone. Long live Schumacher for giving us some exhilarating races!!!!!

When i heard it i was very upset in the start, but then i though maybe he can win the last two races and he can end his carier in style, but now he is out of one of them and has very little or no change of winning the championship..... What can i say, i am really upset, really really upset. I felt deceived and betrayed that this can happen to my schumi, that too when it wasa most important. I am sooooooooo SAD.. But i guess i can now only hope for a better future for Ferrari now, but still wats ferrari without schumi,,, I am still so SAD although he is not winning, i would say schumi is better....

In every profesionals life comes a time when he feels the need to retire and concentrate more on his family life... maybe Schumacher felt that time came for him and announced he`s retiring... I also know that i f he wasn`t sure he`ll win this years championship he would have stayed in Formula 1 for at least another year...

I also agree that he has a couple of years of competetive racing, and like most of the tifosi I definitely hope he will stay. But anyway, that's his decision. All we can do is just support him. And no doubt he will be the 2006 Formula One World Champion!
