On Tuesday a businessman paid $280,000 for an original 1860 handwritten and signed copy of "A visit From St. Nicholas" the classic poem that starts Twas the night before Christmas. There are only 3 other copies in the authors writing that are known about. So what do you think of This. Would you pay that much for a poem or would you pay even more?

Well even though it's very old and very inspiring because of the Christmas influence, i wouldn't pay that much of a some of money just for a poem.

If anyone else has $280,000 and they need a poem... I can write one for them! She smiles sweetly...

Whew. Well, I don't have that kind of money to be throwing around on anything, let alone a poem! *laugh* But poetry can be such a beauteous thing. I am not surprised that someone would pay that much for a valuable copy that was that old, handwritten and signed.
