My dog had her puppies

Angel pregnant with puppies - This is my dog Angel. She recently had her puppies

My dog finally had her puppies. She doesn't seem that interested in taking care of them.We have to make her lay down to nurse them. Any advice on what to do or just let her be?

I think it's normal, my dog also wasn't that interested in taking care of them. She always seemed a bit confused about what to do with them. XD Helping her is fine. ^^

If this is her first litter, you may need to teach her what to do. I would continue what you are doing at this point. She may come around! If she gets really upset and is not willing to stay with the pups after they latch on, you will probabaly need to start looking into bottle feeding them.

As long as she nurses them at least a little (even if you have to make her) the pups should be fine. If she stops nursing them, you may have to bottle feed the pups. Good luck!
