simple. go to work on time. be corteous. respect your co-workers. do your tasks as expected. finish your job on time. never argue with your boss if possible.

I do not think it is necessary to impress the boss about your work or your dedication. As a boss, he is aware of who is who and what is what. There are so many people who do show business, pretentions and those things will not last long.
