Folkwear Pattern for Tribal Belly Dancers

I just got a majorly cool pattern from Folkwear. It's a tribal belly dancing costume pattern put together by Fat Chance Belly Dance.
It is a very complete pattern with everything from the choli to the skirts and pantaloons. Can't wait to pick out the fabric. Go take a look at the pattern: http://www.folkwear.com/144.html

That's funny, I just ordered this pattern yesterday. :) I'm not a belly dancer myself though (I'm a hoopdancer!), and I'm using it to make a sorta tribal faery costume for the renfest here.

Yeah, I lurk around all of the online hooping communities, but I'm too lazy to post myself. :P I bought my first hoop from bodyhoops.com, but then I bought a giant roll of tubing at Home Depot to make more. I think it's easier to find the tubing during the warmer season when people use it for irrigation and stuff like that.

Do you do a lot of belly dancing? I just took a course recently - just a 6 week beginners course - and I loved it! I really want to do more! :D

People still call me every week wanting to know where I'm teaching belly dancing. I guess I should look for a place to teach it again. But it's just such a hassle dealing with dance studios.

Looks very pretty. You'll have to post a pick of yours when you finish it. Folkwear has alot of cool patterns, there are several that I want to get. Happy sewing!

cool costume. I haven't made a belly dancing costume in awhile. I did belly dancing for exercise.
