Well, according to my gay friends there are tell-tale signs that only they can see to identify each other.
Back in the 80s, it was an earring in the right ear only.
Now that everyone thinks piercings all over are so cool (i think they're retarded, but that's me), I don't believe it will be so easy to tell.
Now that (some) boys wear makeup (not any of mind, thank God), I imagine that also makes it harder to tell.
Sometimes you can pick 'em by watching them walk or listening to them talk.
Any more, ya just never know.
We recently had someone in our Congress (might have been a senator, don't remember) "come out" and you couldn't tell by looking at him. He had a wife and maybe kids (don't remember that either).
Good luck with that one, wolfie. I'll be interested in reading the rest of this thread, maybe I'll learn something, lol.

Because their "gaydar" goes off, ha ha! Just kidding. Sometimes you can just tell by the way they wear their hair or how they dress (it was pretty easy to tell when I met my friend Adam, he had pink sneakers on and pink hair clips).

Well, it's an automatic if they are dressed in feminine clothing, holding hands with a guy or just have that "gay" attitude. I know people are probably going to jump me for saying that - but I hang out with enough gay people to be able to say that there are definately some who have a queeny attitude. They're usually younger. I try not to make snap judgements based on clothing, hair cuts, mannerisms, etc. My brother has hit on many guys only to find out they aren't gay - they're from another country and just have different mannerisms than we do.
My fiance on the other hand... he has extreme "gaydar" and he is never wrong. He can look at a person and just somehow knows. It's really weird but has turned out 100% accurate.

Ah now I see what you've done! LOL, did you copy and paste and it retained the wrong 'response' Don't worry it's happened to me, anyhow I digress. Some guys actually talk effeminately but they are actually straight! Interesting that a 'straight' man has gaydar abilities! Thanks again for your response.

I know what you mean - my best friends husband is very effeminate - in speaking and mannerisms but he is definately strait. As to my fiance - his brother is gay so maybe growing up with a gay brother has fine tuned his gaydar... me, my brother is gay too but I don't have his skills.

With the number of open gay people around I have just stoped noticing. To me a gay person is just another person - nothing special about them at all. In fact I recently found out my boss was gay, my colluge was making a huge fuss over it and I was sitting bavk thinking "who really cares" (now that I look at it he does act fairly "gay" (I am refering to the streiotipical gay). Not overly, but enough to make it obvious, I just wasnt looking)
If you want a Gaydar - get a gay friend - there usually better at spotting them :D
