For me...either Barbra Streisand or Celine Dion. Both of them have the voice of angels and certain songs always bring me to tears when I listen to them. I can't really put it into words. Their voices simply touch my souls.

I agree Dasani! I started listening to her in 1979 and haven't stopped. Recently, I watched a video of a concert she gave last year and still cried when I listened! Even though some of her vocal range has diminished, she still moves me to tears when she sings. I really don't know what it is about her. "They" say, you either love her voice or hate it. I happen to be one of those who loves it. I'm in awe of her talent and have followed her career since the first time I ever heard her sing. There are no other singers that I've heard that I felt such a closeness to or had such an impact on me. To me she will always be the greatest female singer of all time.

I can't really identify which singer has the most beautiful voice. But I particularly loved to hear one of the male band named Blue. Blue is a R&B group singing some of finest songs with their perfectly matched voices. I have to say that it's the best and most beautiful combination of voices in male band I have ever heard. So sad that they no longer come out with album as a band now.

Well one that can give me goosebumps but I don't know about making me cry, lol. I'd have to say Mariah Carey, when she hits those really high notes. I don't think I've ever heard anybody sound as good as her when singing that high. I'll be honest and say that I don't really care too much for her as a person but I love her voice.

Oh that usually happens to me in church. I think it's because of the solemnity of the place, the silence and the feeling of being 'home'. I don't know, or perhaps the singers or volunteers there are just really focused enough to offer their voices to the most high, which is why they do their best to sing very well. Oh, these types of singers just gives me a sense of what 'appreciation' or 'song of the soul' really is. I'm afraid you don't see these everyday, yet alone in the songs that most artists perceive as 'songs' are nowadays.

It's a toss up between Bjork and PJ Harvey. At the moment I lean more toward Bjork.

Both Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin are incredible singers-good ones. Others might think I'm crazy but I get goosebumps when I hear Janis Choplin's voice.
