What is the best way to spend a 50(k)?

I just had a 50(k) last month... I bought a new cellphone(Nokia N Series), (1)flip flop,(1)jean, and a shirt. The next day when I woke up, i had nothing even a single cent... this driving me nuts! I should have spend it wisely especially now its holiday season. The result of my action.. IM BUM.. I think investing is a good way to keep the money, but I don't know how... =(

the best way to spend that huge amount of money is to buy only things that you need and not the things that you want. save a portion of it to your bank account coz you wouldnt know when you'll gonna need an extra cash.
