In Australia, if you need to see a 'therapist' you need help. In America, if you don't see a 'therapist' you are poor. An oldie but a goodie. They always say - I'll contact my lawyer and get that sorted out and stuff like that. We have only ever used a lawyer on 2 occasions. Both of those were for the purchase of property.

I don't have either. America is actually a nice place to live if you give it a chance.

I am very sorry that you have this very wrong impression of America. It is not as horrible as other places on the earth, nor is it as pleasant as some. But no, I don't have my own lawyer, and I would certainly hate to think that my doctor is a "quack." Our current president is very messed up, but for the most part, and our health insurance system sucks, America is an ok place to live.
