grand father doesn't financially supported when my baby was got serious......?

When my baby was got ill and at that time my wife at her father's home , when they are going to hospitalized my son , my father doesn't provided any support , even he hvn't gone there at hospital to see atleast for one time to see how is he ,,,, in spite of he is grnad father of my baby. I hearted this matter a lot....he has lot money and at the time his death money will be given to me as per govt rules, but what the use that money afterword...he havn't given support at the time of need. By god's grace I hv reached to hospital from 3000 km distant (my job place) and handled the situation at the hospital...but my father has hearted me a lot.... Shud I go to meet him.....or shud i still give him that much respect which I was giving before this event....
