Assuming for a second we can all agree that there is a God, and that God is a perfect being, then can't we all just easily assume that a perfect being is above and beyond all comprehension of us mortal beings? Religions (every single one of 'em) are institutions created by human beings, thus corruptible and filled with falsehoods. Instead of debating on theology, can't we all simply agree that Love is the best ethic, and honesty and self-restraint great virtues? Why doesn't humanity just accept that life a beautiful and wonderful thing, and accept that nature and the world beyond are things that we may never understand, but should Love anyway?
