What would the world be like...

Hi guys One major historic event, that changed the world, was when we went from polytheism (many gods) to monotheism some 2000 years ago. But if that event (probably mainly due to Emperor Constantin) didn't happen, and people were allowed to believe in what they wanted, even nothing - what would the world look like? We are among other things talking no inquisition, no crusades, no conquestedores in Latin America, no anti condoming in africa etc. Would the world be a better or worse place? Is secularism (religion out of constitutions) good or bad? Thanks. Pax HorizonExplorer
