It is better to deploy unmanned shuttles for space operations!

we all know abt the coloumbia shuttle explosion!
why can't we deploy shuttle with humans,thus saves they lives!

Space travel is a dangerous business. But, considering there have only been two accidents in the past 2 decades, it's not so dangerous we should stop.
You can only do so much with sensors and machines.
