Irish inflation set to hit highest in 6 years

Due to increased interest rates, electricity charges and cigarette prices. I really don't see how inflation will be curbed, and because we're part of the EU we can no longer control our own interest rates..:(

They say it will have reached 6% by January 2007. I don't know about you, but I know my husband didn't receive a 6% rise in his wages. I don't know how some people manage. Every day things like groceries and clothes are gone so expensive now.
