have been using digital settop box for my cable TV for sometime?

i never used a settopbox but in delhi india its compulsory from jan 1 then i will check this technology from my friend home in delhi but i think we do get a good picture+sound but the settopbox will be a headache bcoz to maintain that in good quality will be a task to dare

I thought it was expensive and you have to pay for the channel packages too. We thought of it once but then it looked kind of expensive I pay 275RS INR for the cable and get all my favorite channels so I never thought of it as an option. Rcetn craze here is TATA Sky Do you have any idea about it?

I think we consumers will have to pay the price for government's deliberate mishandling of conditional access system CAS in Delhi. i think manufacturers of set top boxes will have great profits and we poor consumers will suffer. As it is cable prices are high, i will wait and see my options before deciding on what to do. i don't quality of pictures and sound will any different.

no i do not have digital settop box for my cable tv.

i pay so much for cable already, that i don't want to spend the 5 dollars more a month it would cost to switch over to the digital box. i just can't afford it so i will just suffer with regular cable.

I don't know alot about this settop box, I like our cable the way it is without it.
