Why can some babies not breastfeed?

When I have a baby I want to breast feed. I think it would be very benifical for the baby and it would be cheeper as well. However I was told to not count on it because some women just can not breast feed. What are the reason why someone can not breast feed. Not just because the do not want to or because it is unconfortable. Thanks
