I've read alot of posts in here about deadbeat parents who have skipped out on their kids and on paying child support. Most of these posts are from frustrated parents who can't locate the non custodial parent in order to get child support for their child/children. I was wondering if it would be legal to start a discussion on mylot where these parents can post the names and last known location of these deadbeats....that way maybe someone will see that post and know the location of that person to help out the custodial parent. This idea, I thought, would also work for helping parents locate runaway teens or long lost family and friends. What do you think about this idea? Would it be legal? On the other hand, if I were on the other side of this, being the non custodial parent and I came across this website and found my name and location on a discussion board for deadbeat parents, I don't imagine that I would be too happy about it. I would have to admit though that if I skipped out on my kid/kids then I suppose my name should be up there!

I personally think it would be a great Idea, I am a non custodial parent who pay's child support, and it upsets me to see so many that are not, the one's that do pay suffer for the non payers and it is wrong. The runnaway teens would be a great Idea to, just to be able to help someone whether it's the parent or teem themselves if would be great. This is a great post.

I think it's a great idea too but obviously not everyone did since there were no responses! haha I think when you are looking for someone, especially someone you love like a teen that has runaway or a long lost friend or family member, any little way that you can get the word out there, helps. I also agree with you on the child support issue. Although the Friend of the Court is set up to enforce and help these families out, the parents who follow the rules often get caught in the cross fire and get screwed. They desperately need to tweek the system.
