Does anyone watch the Take Home Chef?

I love this show... well Curtis Stone sure isn't hard on the eyes either LOL Have you seen it? If not, basically, Curtis is a professional chef who approaches a stranger in the supermarket (with the camera crew and all there too, of course) and asks who they are cooking dinner for that evening. If they have a plan, he offers to buy the food, go home with them and cook a dinner of their choosing. It's also like having a personal cooking class right in their own kitchen. Would you accept if this was offered to you? What kind of a meal would you choose for him to prepare? Would you want YOUR kitchen on national tv? Would you plead with Curtis not to leave at the end of the show? ;)

I love this show and yes Curtis is hot! Not only his appearance but his accent as well. I would defiantly accept the offer. I would want him to cook some type of italian or asian dish. I wouldn't mind my kitchen being on national tv. I would plead for him not to leave my house; however, I do not think my husband would go for it. :) I like how he buys a little extra gift for the person. Either a cooking utensil and or dish.

Yes I love this show. Too bad travel and living channel ceased airing the show already. Well I miss watching him :) If it was me well ofcourse I would allow him to cook for me. How many times in this lifetime would someone so handsomeo cook for me. Probably I would be too stunned to even think of a recipe for him to cook. I could try to ask him to stay that would make the kitchen my favorite place in the house.

I hate when I show that I love gets dropped! :( Good news for you and other Curtis fans, though, earth2jacq... Curtis is now one of the experts on AOL Food. You can see videos and get recipes and such. Here's a link that might interest you! http://food.aol.com/experts/curtis-stone

I've watched it once or twice. The show has a good concept. I wish a chef would come home and cook for my family once in a while.

Well after your posting and me checking out who he is, I definitely am going to watch him on TLC! I had no clue. I get all my 'chef action' on The Food Network usually so I've never seen him. As for allowing him to come cook for me, oooh yeah! LOL Leaving? Well he'd have to find the key for the handcuffs first! lol

WOOOOOHOOOOO! ROFL Maybe consider the fuzzy ones so you don't damage the man! ;) If you ever do find the show, I'll be curious what you think once you factor the accent into the equation. The other day my 16 year old daughter was watching with me and, out of the blue, she said "Wow. Every guy needs to have a shirt like that." And here I thought she was watching for the recipes!

Your are not alone, I as well do watch "Take Home Chef." I thought I was the only one who had watched this show at first but it's good to know there are others on this site who like this show as much as I do! I sometimes will watch his show on a regular basis as they show it here each day. Some are repeats, other times some are newer episodes. I stumbled across his show one time when I was trying to find something to watch on a Saturday morning. At first I was going to just change the channel, but what he was cooking at that time looked very interesting. So I decided to keep an open mind & stay tuned. There we're a few back to back shows of him cooking afterwards. So I ended up sitting there for an hr. or two just watching his show as the way he had cooked seemed to intrigue me slightly! I love how he goes in to grocery stores & picks someone who he see's is shopping for groceries. And he will be willing to go home with the person, pay for there groceries, & cook them a nice home cooked meal. I've never seen a chef do this before.. I actually like that he does this, as it helps to set him apart from the other chef's out there in this world. I also can't help but find it just amazing that someone would be willing to do this for another. I sometimes wish that I lived in the states as I would love to be grocery shopping & have him come up to me.. I would most definitely accept his offer! I think if I never knew about the show though that I would be a little bit more cautious as you have to be in this day & age.. But I would love to have him come home with me & have him cook both me & my other half a meal. I feel I would be able to learn so much from him.. And there are plenty of questions that I would ask him as I know there is a lot of different things I still feel I need to know about cooking in general. And I feel he would be the best person to have these questions answered by! I think I would probably get him to prepare a pasta dish. I know that both me & my other half absolutely love pasta! So I would probably get him to make some type of chicken or shrimp alfredo or even a cajun alfredo.. Maybe even a lasagna. But if he was asking about what type of food my other half likes.. I'd have to ask Curtis to help me make a steak! I know that he tends to always come up with new ways or ingredients or seasonings when it comes to different meats.. So it would be interesting to see what idea's we both would come up with.. And then end up being able to agree upon so that we would make a rather delicious dish for dinner! Probably at the end of the show I'd tell him to sit down & stay for a while. haha. I've never seen anyone so far plead with him about leaving.. So it would be interesting to see eventually if someone would start to do so. If no one did I think I'd have to be one of his firsts. haha. I know that Curtis is one of the first chef's that I have admired. I love how he tends to explain things thoroughly so that it makes sense to the viewer. I also love his sense of humor. He makes cooking a lot of fun, I don't see a lot of cooks who are able to pull this off. I also love how he seems to have a real passion for food. And how he seems to get really excited about helping people cook. Or also learn new things in the kitchen. He is over-all an amazing chef in my opinion who always seems to be making creative dishes each time you tune in to his show! . . In conclusion.. It's nice to come across another person who watches "Take Home Chef." And appreciates his new idea's he comes up with when it comes to meals that we all can make ourselves, as well as the people around us.. If we have the right ingredients, & tools. I truly do love his show & would love it if I someday stumbled across him in a super market & had him come home to cook both me & my other half a nice home cooked meal. A girl can wish right?! haha. To bad he doesn't start going to grocery stores in canada. That would be a dream come true! . . Thanks for allowing me to share! xx
