My mom has a strange disese for about 20 years. She can't lift heavy objects. Whenever she lifts, she suffer the back pain at the level of upper thoracic level. Then, her abdomen becomes progressively distension. after that, depending on the weights, the abdomen becomes flat again. It takes between days or weeks to normal again. The doctors can't find the cause. what will it be and what should i do??

She have never done surgeries before. It is something like dull aching pain. When she takes enough rest, it becomes relief again. So it is hard to decide what happened to her. In the x-ray, no abnomality is detected.

Hmm, it could be a neurapathy....or maybe even fibromyalgia....it could also be the way that she is lifting....if she has a soft tissue injury and never properly healed from it, any lifting can reexacerbate the injury causing her to be in pain and the more she does not treat for it the worse it will get and she may always have the issue happen. The distention of the tummy could just be her body responding to compensate for the pain or something....I am not a doctor but I would try to see a chiropractor or maybe go to a physical therapist OR maybe talk with a physical trainer at a gym....certain massage therapies can be helpful too, My sister in law just went to see one, because she has a disease which is a muscular dystrophy disease, central nervous system and the massage therapist pinpoints the areas to send message back to the central nervous system thus creating a healing power that is beyond what I could describe. She says it helps a lot... If you want more information just send me an email sandraellison72@gmail.com I have learned a lot about muscular dystrophy because my husband's family suffers from it. good luck to you

Maybe the different symptoms aren't related. They could have different causes. Has she ever gone to a chiropractor?

Does she think that this disease is a problem? How many doctors have you gone to? I would imagine a good internist can find out what she has. She may have a hernia, but I am not a doctor.
