I do not know what the art lovers found in it and why they are considering the fact that it is so famous.. I think only the person that have created and the age of the picture is the important for making it a sucess.

It's famous bcoz when ur in a happy mood & look at that it also seems to be laughing with u and when u r in sad mood it also loooks sad.That's y!
