It depends on who your giving it to. I say if you can get th e one gift you think the person would want if its too expensive then go cheap. If you only have so much money to spend the defintley go cheap.

WELL, IT IS SOMETIMES A QUESTION. IF YOU DO NOT CARE IT IS BETTER A CHEAP GIFT
BUT SOMETIMES YU COULD BUY MORE THINGS AND IT LOOKS BETTER THAN ONE SMALL EXPENSIVE THING (ESPECIALLY WHEN WE TALK ABOUT CHILDREN)

gifts mean you were thinking about the person and you care about them. the value of a gift isn't it's monetary value, but the time spent looking for just the right thing, and the size of the smile on the recipient's face when they get something that suits them perfectly. i often find it very hard to find the right gift for people's birthdays, which is why i sometimes buy them months in advance when i see the right thing. gifts don't need to be given for birthdays or special occasions. they are given because you've found something you know the other person will love. You want to show them how much you care about them and how well you know them that you can chose such a good gift.

Iwould like to be a person like you! Unfortunately i do not have the time usually. sometimes I just buy thinbgs which I think could be nice gifts and then, when I have to go somehwere and I do not have the time to go out to look for something, i just choose from what I have. (I work about 10 hours each day)
But I really would like to have time to do ilke you do!!!!!!
