What Happened to Rosie O'Donnel?

Back in the 80s, I used to watch Evening at the Improv and Stand Up Spotlight. I loved watching all those comedians. Little did I know how propetic "Catch a Rising Star" would prove to be. One of my favorites was Rosie O'Donnell. She made comedy seem so natural, nothing forced. She could churn anything into comic gold. The first season of her talk show was great! It was so much fun watching her "meet" all the celebrities she loved as she grew up. We all knew she wasn't meeting these people for the first time, but the whole schtick was entertaining and fresh. I knew her politics, but I've always been able to laugh at myself, so if she threw out a zinger against a politician or cause on my side of the aisle, I could usually laugh along with her. Then Harris and Klebold went on their rampage through Columbine. She went on an anti gun rampage on her show. Hey, it was an emotional time, so I can see why she had a rough time being funny. Apparently she hasn't found her funny bone because is seems she hasn't cracked a smile since. Now, even when she is doing comedy, it's no longer natural, and rarely even funny. Apparently she has dropped the comedy act for an endless political rant. How sad, she is so talented.
