Just like what Susan Sarandon in the movie "Shall We Dance" said, we marry someone because we want to witness their life. If you're unmarried, there's no one to share your life with, the successes, the pain, the joy, the laughter. Being married is having a reason for everyday and for all the things you do. Marriage is withnessing somebody's life because it makes you happy and letting the other person witness your life too.

by marrying someone you get someone in your life who will share each and every moment with you.. will be by your side thru thick and thin.. and most of all will give you happiness so marriage is definitely very useful not just in short term perspective but in the long run as well.
