Im a designer and developer. so i work on the pc alot as well.. i have found that many people that work on pc, have a chronic problem with their posture as well.. that can apparently lead to many things including putting on weight. I developed a special program for myself and my friends that only takes ten minutes a day and really does help. not only to lose weight, but your posture and energy. they are series of simple and light excercises, that you can do during any pc break. Also if you plan on changing your diet, then try doing a detox diet before hand. you will see your new diet be more effective quicker, than if you just change your diet. I can give you more info, if you want, just leave me a note if you like. :)

its not that hard to loose weight - Because changing your eating habits for the long term is the only way to successful weight loss it is important to spend a bit of time thinking about your aims. There are many good reasons for losing weight but you may have a priority. It may be your health, your self esteem, or to look more attractive. Having a clear idea of what you want, a focus, will help keep you on track.
Overweight people have an increased risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, and other illnesses. Losing weight reduces the risk. This brochure tells you how to lose weight safely. Your doctor or other health worker can help you set sensible goals based on a proper weight for your height, build and age. Men and very active women may need up to 2,500 calories daily. Other women and inactive men need only about 2,000 calories daily. A safe plan is to eat 300 to 500 fewer calories a day to lose 1 to 2 pounds a week. Do at least 30 minutes of exercise, like brisk walking, most days of the week. The idea is to use up more calories than you eat. You need to use up the day's calories and some of the calories stored in your body fat. Eat Less Fat and Sugar This will help you cut calories. Fried foods and fatty desserts can quickly use up a day's calories. And these foods may not provide the other nutrients you need. Make sure your other foods that day are low in fat and calories. Eat a Wide Variety Of Foods Variety in the diet helps you get all the vitamins and other nutrients you need.

Actually I am also trying to lose weight since long time. What I came to know is that a moderate control of diet and a moderate amount of exercise is enough to lose weight! With moderate control of diet, I mean that you have to think, "Am I that hungry ........ must I eat what is in front of me?" And with moderate amount of exercise, I mean that don't take too much luxuries like taking escalator or lift for a floor or two, getting down the floors and a little morning walk. This worked great for me......
