My son will be 8 in January and I am at a loss for idea. He wants told hold his party at a local gaming store (they have video games and card games) for kids under age 12. I don't know how many parents would want their kids to come. Last year we did CiCi's Pizza, we brought it a cake, paid for the kids to eat and split $20 between them for the arcade games. We were there for about 2 hours and they had a blast. We don't want to do the same thing again this year and we don't have a house so we have to hold it some place else.

What does your son like? If parents have issues with there kids going to the gaming store, maybe take them bowling or a petting zoo. Alot of children's museums/attractions offer birthday parties, if parents wantthere kids to do something educational.

I think we may end up doing Chuck E Cheese - if it is open. Th eon e in our area has been closed since Katrina and doesn't look like it is going to open anytime soon. Bowling or skating may work. The other place that I looked at was a local gym that has an indoor playset that they rent out. Not a good deal for the money though.

bowling parties are big in my area because we have a bowling alley just 5 minutes away. Kids would have a blast at the bowling alley. I'm not sure what else I could suggest.

We have a bowling all ey and skate arena close by. Unfortunately the kids go to those with school evenets and summer camps, so they aren't too big of a hit with birthday parties. I think what we are going ot do it use my moms house, thorugh a Pirates of the Carribean Party (get the pack from Disney.com) and hire Mad Scientist to come entertain the kids of an hour.

He isn't really into bowling. Chuck E Cheese he gets to go to once a year. It is hard enough when it is just him there, I can't imagine if there are multiple kids to keep track of.

i truely think that it is a good idea to have it there but you might wanna check with all the other parents of the kids that are going to the party to see what they have to say about it and if they would truely want there kids going to a thing like that but other then that its a great idea!!
