is sachin's career at end

The most important facet of Tendulkar lies in the fact that he started playing at the International level from the age of 16. After that there have been many more who started in their teens but never could have such consistency as him. He joined at a time when players like Srikkanth, Vengsarkar, Kapil Dev and Ravi Shastri were towards the end of their careers, waiting for someone to take the mantle from them. The selectors back then decided to take a risk of selecting the kid who was doing wonders in the First Class. Their risk paid dividends. The current situation of the Indian team is very similar with the main batsmen in their 30s. For somebody to come anywhere close to the overwhelming records set by the Little Maestro he'd have to play atleast 15 years of cricket.

i dont think his career is at end..but he is not the old sachin anymore...he is still a gud batsman but not the greates ever as he used to be..but still he is the best i our team and so we shud never shout for his retirement nor blame him as long as he deserves a place in team more than others..i hope he returns to form and breaks the maximum runs records in test cricket too coz i dont like to see lara holding that record instead our gr8 and more attractive batsman sachin

I agree with you Ashok17. He is mature enough to decide when to call it quits. He is an asset & one of the best players in the game of all time.

sachin - sachin
yes i think his career has come to an end...this is because he is not playing his natural game if he would start playing his natural game then he can still play for 7-8 years and his age would never come in between....we want sachin in our team because he is the only player in the indian team who can get the world cup for india

i think the team should not be over dependent on him.he can play for another 2 world cups. Most of the other national cricketers retire around the age of 38-40.so probably he can play till the next world cup.sure his records will be the history of the game and nobody will even come near to it.

I do think that Sachin is one of the finest players Indian cricket team has ever had. He has been consistently playing from years. He has grown from strength to strength but from last few months he has gone in a nutshell. he is no more playing that amazingly. If he recovers from this hault, he will definitely make it to the top once again. He has to just stick to his genre and stability in the game.

He would drop the bat when he feels he has earned enough, and not even the big bosses can dare ask him do that. it's true he's been awesome with the bat and numbers, but look at the number of matches he has played to what he has won. Thanks

i think he has to stop himself after this world cup. see mcgrath and warne. they have stopped playing. i think sachin wants to make more money that's why he is playing still on.

Not really, he has been around for such a long time, that there are shades of his own career that people can compare, which is sometimes a boon and sometimes not..... He is anyways a psychoological effect still for the team and for the opponents, which speaks about his achievements and potential ...... He still has cricket left in him, though age maybe catching on him, though not past him.....

Every one knows tht our season will change soon its a natural behaviour like tht one person cannot stand in its position as a superstar it will alter like the season so there is no chance for the end of sachin season he will be there for 2011 world cup............

no i dont think his career is close to ending..it's just that he has recently been plagued with injuries which kept him out of action for many months...but if he can be around for some more time at a stretch he will again find his touch..we all want him to...

Yes sachin is at his career end i believe.Slow reflexes, lost his timings and really less shots in his bag.Doing nothing additional now for the Indian cricket. He must get retired now to avoid a horrible experience to watch him playing cricket.
