What do you think of the welfare system? Do you have it in your country.

I think our welfare system is being taken advantage of by people who can work but do not want to work. I have seen articles in the papers months ago that the government wants to reduce the amount of people on welfare and have them either working or in job training programs. I think this is good. There are many people who are not able to work at all but then there are some that could and should be working instead of being on welfare.

They have changed the system and those who gets tanf( a check)which is public assistance will only get it for only up to 2 years which is better because some will stay on it for 18 years until the child is grown.

I dont like the way it works currently although I agree there is a need for it. I think more effort should be made to go after deadbeat parents and more effort in training and providing jobs in addition to assistance and taking care of the children of these failed people
