ok first think about when you sent them those applications did you take a resume with them? Try giving the company's a call and see if they have had a chance to look over your application yet. see if any of this helps you out. I felt the same way you did and when i put in the application for my current job i called them the following week and asked them if they looked and all that. I was told not yet but then the next day i recieved a phone call of an interview and then was promptly hired. I've been there for 3 and a half years.
