A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens - 1951 original A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
My favorite was the original, back in 1951. It was black and white. Scrooge was played by Alastair Sim .... other characters were as follows: Kathleen Harrison .... Mrs. Dilber Mervyn Johns .... Bob Cratchit Hermione Baddeley .... Mrs. Cratchit Michael Hordern .... Jacob Marley/Marley's Ghost George Cole .... Young Ebenezer Scrooge John Charlesworth .... Peter Cratchit Francis De Wolff .... Spirit of Christmas Present (as Francis de Wolff) Rona Anderson .... Alice Carol Marsh .... Fan Scrooge Brian Worth .... Fred Miles Malleson .... Old Joe Ernest Thesiger .... The Undertaker Glyn Dearman .... Tiny Tim Michael Dolan .... Spirit of Christmas Past This movie is such a classic, that I feel blessed to own a copy. It is rich in authenticity, and a must to see at least once in your life.

Here we come a-wassailing Among the leaves so green, Here we come a-wassailing, So fair to be seen: Love and joy come to you, And to you your wassail too, And God bless you and send you, A happy New Year, And God send you, A happy new year.
