This is my daughter standing on top of a 40 foot pole. The task of this confidence builder was to climb a 40 foot pole, stand on top, then jump to grab a hanky hanging out there to the left of the picture. My daughter was amazing!!! She even decided to strike a pose when she got to the top!!! Only three students were able to grab the hanky....my duaghter being one of them!

Of course she grabbed the hanky... I mean it was only 40 feet in the air.... I mean she has her mother who rasies seven kids as a role model... they are going to have to make it harder for her if the want to challege her... Great picture... and good for her!

These courses are wonderful. They really do build confidence in young people who normally would never stand up for themselves. Our local school has been enrolling students in these courses with great success. Many of the students who normally would have dropped out of school, would go on to graduate.

I think it is a superb idea. I just wish it were open to the public. I would like to be able to take my other children to do such a thing!!!!

They should do something like this for the community. Adults would benefit from it as well. I am not sure I could do this without peeing myself.

At a girl... way to kick some courses a$$. We all knew that you could do it. Perhaps if they really wanted to challenge you they should have made you do it blind folded... but I am pretty sure you still would have done it! Good work!

I would have done it in a heart beat if I were allowed. It was a class thing for high school. So I was just a watcher.

40 feet in the air!!?!? Wow, I don't consider myself afraid of heights, but that would be really freaky for me! I suppose I'd be okay if I was tethered, but still! Congrats to your daughter for being so brave! ~Wyrdsister

I think this would be great for adults to do also. Besides building confidence, the course also teaches teamwork. Something many people would benefit from! I would love to do it too!!!! :)
